Wood Engraving:

Wood engravings are made by cutting into the end grain of boxwood blocks using small, chisel like tools: gravers, spit-stickers, scorpers and tint tools, among others.

The ink used here is Lawrence Linseed Oil Relief Printing Ink. The press is an 1846 Albion Press and the paper used is Zerkall.
